Conifer Woodlands
When Honeypark was built we decided to keep the woodland because it is home to lots of local wildlife like bats and other small mammals such as squirrels.

We kept the existing trees and also we planted lots of new trees. We have bat boxes to try and encourage bats to roost here. We hope the endangered
native Red Squirrel will make its home in the coniferous trees at Honeypark.

Coniferous trees are those that produce cones such as fir, pine and spruce trees. They are usually evergreen, with needles instead of the broad leaves of deciduous trees.
